Load Bearing System
This project involves the design of a three-storey, load-bearing family residence located in the Fifth Settlement, Cairo. The architectural concept challenges the conventional notion of rigid load-bearing structures by introducing a flexible and adaptive interior layout. While the building’s structural system provides the necessary support and stability, the design prioritizes spatial versatility within each floor.
Flexibility
Through innovative planning and construction techniques, the interior spaces are not confined by the typical limitations of load-bearing walls. Instead, the arrangement allows for dynamic configurations, adaptable to the changing needs of the family over time.
